It goes without saying that the older the car, the more problems it’s going to have. Be prepared for this and keep looking after it regularly.
Classic cars are not fitted with the same equipment nowadays. Without pointing out the obvious, if something breaks on a classic car it would be very hard to source a replacement. Or, it’ll cost you hundreds of pounds to replace something that it many years old. It’s a risk.
Classic cars just aren’t fitted with the same engines as today. If speed/performance isn’t an issue then go for it. But just keep this in mind.
