It’s a rare thing, but there have been cases of people’s car insurance being cancelled by the insurance companies, with not a lot of warning. We take a look at some of the reasons your insurance companies might let you go…
- Non- payment
An obvious one, but if you don’t meet your payments then it’s more than likely your insurance company are going to give you the boot.
If you’ve lied about any aspect of your policy then the chances are, you’re going to get found out. And there’s no complications with this; your policy will simply be cancelled.
- General error
This is arguably the worse reason for cancellation because it’s something out of your control. Perhaps there was an admin issue or an error their end. Either way, you’re going to have to find another provider.
You have to declare an insurance cancellation with every provider but it shouldn’t affect your premium if it wasn’t your fault.
