Recently, we spoke about the car most likely to be a rip-off and provoke complaints. In the categories we had used cars, nearly new cars and new cars. The winner? Well, that wasn’t so clear.
For this blog, we’ve listed at the top complaints made for new cars and some of them might surprise you…
Technology not working as expected; car radios, windscreen wipes, electric windows etc
Mechanical issues; heating not as warm as expected, jittery transmissions in minus temperatures
Warning light glitches
Seals on windows and doors peeling off
Issues with paintwork
You’d normally expect there to be complaints with a used car. Surely, that’s what used means? It’s almost guaranteed there will be some wear and tear. But complaints with a new car? Unfortunately, it’s happening more and more within the industry.
Our tip? Get to know your car dealer and try and buy from someone with good recommendations. Then again, sometimes it’s just an unfortunate situation, but be sure your seller gets it fixed straight away if this is the case.
